The latest version of the popular Your Dentist™ find-a-dentist website at www.dentist.com.au now includes a feature to allow visitors to find a denture clinic as well as dental practices.

"Your Dentist is very popular with members of the public looking to find dental practitioners," said Joseph Allbeury, publisher of eLABORATE magazine and the Your Dentist website. "So it was logical with the new version of the website to expand our coverage to include denture clinics as well.

"Denture clinics and dental prosthetists have a clear and vital role to play in the delivery of oral health care so their inclusion in the new version of the site is inline with our goal to provide the public with a single resource to locate the best dental practitioner to meet their needs.

"We encourage all dental prosthetists to visit www.dentist.com.au and click the link to 'Find a denture clinic' and see if they are listed. We've used eLABORATE's mailing list as a starting point for the new service, so there will inevitably be errors that need to be fixed.

"There will also be clinics that are missing that we want to include to ensure the resource is comprehensive.

"The goal is to list every denture clinic in Australia* to provide the public with a fully comprehensive resource and to facilitate this, there is no charge to appear on the website at the base level."

Dental prosthetists and dental technicians are encouraged to call to retrieve their individual Username and Password for the Dental Community website located at www.dentalcommunity.com.au. Through this website, prosthetists can set-up and manage the information about their denture clinic that appears at www.dentist.com.au.

In addition, technicians can set-up and manage information about their laboratory that will also soon be available to dentists to help them select local manufacturers to produce their dental restorations in Australia.

"We want www.dentist.com.au to be a comprehensive directory of all dental practices and denture clinics and the only way to ensure that all information remains up-to-date is to allow everyone to make changes at will," Mr Allbeury said.

"Through the Dental Community portal, technicians and prosthetists can change all manner of information about their denture clinic or dental laboratory at will."
