Randwick TAFE's dental facilities are undergoing a complete refit from the ground up and Argibond has just finished installing 40 new workspaces with a further 40 to come.
The Randwick College is the training centre for dental technicians in NSW and is probably overdue for a refit says head teacher Keith Anderton. "The college has been in operation since 1978 and no real major works has been undertaken except for reallocation of the space we have" Argibond has supplied new quality German made Freuding benches and Zubler dust extraction, which have been specially modified for the space available. The work was done over a couple of weekends during the mid-semester break and that included the removal of the existing benches and equipment, no mean feat." Later this year the second laboratory will be refitted and the ceramics section will be enlarged to accommodate more students. The casting area and plaster rooms have already been upgraded. "This is a 'work in progress' as it would be impossible to halt classes and refit the whole facility all at once, so a lick of paint here and there will also need to be done to put the finishing touches to the facility."
