Carestream Dental CS 3500 intraoral scanner partners with exocad software

Carestream Dental has partnered with exocad, an OEM dental CAD/CAM software solutions provider, to offer systems integration with the CS 3500 intraoral scanner.

The CS 3500 allows practitioners to easily acquire true colour 2D and 3D images. The CS 3500 connects to the USB port of any computer and features high-angulation scanning of up to 45 degrees at a depth between -2 to +13mm. A unique light guidance system allows operators to focus on the patient's mouth rather than a computer screen. A recent software upgrade introduced a continuous scanning mode, improving scan speeds up to 40%.

The CS 3500 uses open-format STL files for easy sharing and the integration with exocad benefits practices that wish to incorporate digital impressions and easy collaboration with dental laboratories into their workflow.
