Please read this article to ensure your:
- Delivery address is correct
- Details are included in our online directories
Over the past few months, eLABORATE has implemented a new computer system to help manage, amongst other things, subscriptions to the magazine.
As part of this process, we've transferred our database of subscriber names and addresses to a new customer management system that will allow us to provide a better level of service in the future.
With the changeover to the new system, we've completed a "clean up" and converted all the information so that it is now in a uniform format. This required us to make certain assumptions (i.e. guess) about some records. As a result, if you are currently receiving eLABORATE or any of our publications personally addressed to you, we're asking you to check to ensure your information and delivery details remain correct.
To check your details at any time, simply log into the new Dental Community website at www.dentalcommunity.com.au. There is no cost to use the Dental Community website and all you need is a unique Username and Password. To check your details, do the following:
Step 1. Contact us to obtain your unique Username and Password. Either call (02) 9929-1900 or email support@dentist.com.au
Step 2. Log in to www.dentalcommunity.com.au and complete the registration process. This involves verifiying your details and once you've completed this process, you will be emailed a link to unlock your account and change your password.
Step 3. Once you've completed the registration process and logged in, you will see information on the where you work together with any Subscriptions to our publications that you receive.
Step 4. Click the "Address" button next to the name of the magazine, i.e. eLABORATE.
Step 5. This will show you the Delivery Details for the magazine which you can then update. You have a choice of three delivery addresses to choose from. These include the street address or mailing address of the principal place that you work at or you can click Other Address to enter a different address altogether, such as your home. NB: The term "practice" is used generically for any business that you work at.
Step 6. If you work at more than one practice, you can also make any one of these your "principal practice".
Step 7. If your home address is the only address that we have for you, then this will be shown as your principal practice. In this case, it is important to select the Practices option from the Update menu at the top of the page and then click on your name listed under Practices.
Step 8. This will display the My Practice Details page. If this is your home, then ensure it has a Classification of Private and a Type of Other. It is also important to set the "Online Status" to Offline. This will ensure that your home address is not published in one of our online directories that help dentists find laboratories or the public find denture clinics.
It is our preference to connect dental technicians and prosthetists to the labs and clinics they work at, rather than their homes. Home delivery can then be set using the "Other Address" option. If only your home address is showing and you would rather be linked to the lab or clinic where you work, please call us on (02) 9929-1900.
