ELABORATE has launched a new online discussion forum that dental technicians, dental prosthetists and others can participate in to ask questions and share information between each other, key opinion leaders, members of the dental industry and others.
"The internet allows everyone working in dentistry to communicate more readily and share information to make our professional lives easier," said eLABORATE Publisher Joseph Allbeury. "With the new discussion boards we're introducing, we are giving dental technicians and dental prosthetists a new tool that will allow them to join and participate in discussions."
Dental Community intergration
The new discussion forums are accessed using the Dental Community website located at www.dentalcommunity.com.au using your free login (Please contact us if you do not yet have your login).
Once you are logged in, simply click on Discussion Boards and select a discussion.
"The first private discussion group we have started is called eLABORATE CAD/CAM and at time of going to press, had more than 50 members. Anyone can view the discussion, but only members of the group can post," Mr Allbeury said. "To join the group, email me - joseph@dentist.com.au and I will add you in so you can post.
"The first discussion topic is Do I need an in-house CAD/CAM system that can mill metal or should I outsource it?
"However, once you have your login, you can create a discussion of your own and invite people to join. In coming weeks, we will launch the Groups interface that will allow you to set-up your own groups for public, semi-private or private discussions within your group.
"It's a great tool and it's now available for everyone in the dental community to use."
