It is with deep sorrow I inform you of the passing of Bruce Pardey, who died peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, July 12th, aged eighty.
Bruce was one of our finest; an artisan of dental ceramics equalled by very few and bettered by none. His immense passion and dedication to dentistry stretching more than 60 years saw Bruce accumulate a great wealth of knowledge and experience, which he selflessly shared with any who sought his wisdom.
Bruce was a humble man of honesty, decency and unparalleled integrity; a kind man of quiet considered thought and never-ending generosity.
The on-going decimation of Australia's dent-technical industry over recent years brought Bruce much pain and sadness; yet his strength of character, supported by his profound sense of understanding and humour, led him to fight hard for our rights and our industry till the very end.
He is truly and will forever remain our unsung hero; and those who had the great privilege to call him our friend will sorely miss him.
Bruce is survived by wife Margaret, daughter Allison, sons Simon and Dan, and grand children Rose, Joe and Claire.
Bruce has left us with many wonderful memories, and has gifted us all with his great legacy.
All who knew him will revere his memory. But we must also honour his legacy, for disaster looms if we do not.
Bruce Gilsenan Pardey, a true friend
and gentleman.
Rest In Peace.
Tom Parker
