Wet grinding expands options for Zirkonzahn CAD/CAM System 5-TEC

The Zirkonzahn CAD/CAM 5-TEC (5 axes + 1) milling system now covers the widest possible range of applications and millable materials needed in the dental lab.

The system mills pre-sintered zirconium dioxide (translucent ICE zirconia, Prettau zirconia), pre-sintered aluminum oxide, resin, wax, wood, metals and now even glass-ceramics. The 5-TEC's expanded range of applications is made possible by the recently introduced wet-grinding function. This upgrade is easily installed and uses closed-circuit water cooling for cost-saving and environmental reasons. The new function permits the milling of all types of glass-ceramics but also other materials, i.e. sintered or solid metals. Zirkonzahn's cleverly designed modular CAD/CAM system makes possible continuous system upgrades as they are being developed according to latest standards in dentistry or to suit a lab's specific needs. Software developments are an ongoing evolutionary process guided by the logic and criteria of thinking dental technicians.
