Digital Evolution conference a success

Dental Axess has hosted the inaugural Digital Evolution conference for their partner laboratories in Noosa. The conference was attended by over 50 laboratory owners, technicians and manufacturing partners from Australia and NZ.

The 2-day program provided a launch and training platform for the 3Shape Dental System 2013 where delegates had the opportunity to learn about new features and indications for the software.

Highlights of the program included a presentation from Mr Flemming Thorup, President and CEO at 3Shape (Pictured right), providing an insight and future direction for the company; and a demonstration by Mr Robert Hill on the complete digital workflow from digital impressions through to CAD model and restoration design. Additionally, manufacturing providers had the opportunity to address the group with presentations from 3M ESPE, Biomet 3i, Dentsply Implants, Dentmill, Osteon Medical, Panthera Dental and Zfx Australia. Mr David Schwab from Dentacast Australia provided an insight into the digital workflow for removable partial denture design and manufacturing.

Business development strategies for the dental laboratory were also presented along with new services tools enabled by technology.
