New 3M Lava Esthetic: Productivity and high aesthetics - now one disc has it all

3M™ Lava™ Esthetic Fluorescent Full-Contour Zirconia is a new gradient pre-shaded cubic zirconia disc from 3M.

It features a new four shading element formulation making Lava Esthetic zirconia the first pre-shaded zirconia offering inherent fluorescence for all shades as well as a true colour match with VITA® Classic shades.

First zirconia with inherent toothlike fluorescence

Due to the new shading technology employed, Lava Esthetic zirconia is the first pre-shaded zirconia with inherent toothlike fluorescence, allowing for a lifelike appearance in any light. The inherent fluorescence also means that no special fluorescent glaze is needed and the fluorescence is maintained, even during restoration adjustments where fluorescent glazes would be removed.

True shade gradient for an excellent shade match

Pre-shaded Lava Esthetic zirconia discs have an integral colour gradient to deliver natural-looking shading from enamel to dentine. There is no need to apply extra shading liquids or colour corrections after sintering. What you get are high translucency aesthetic full-contour restorations that truly match the VITA Classic shades.

Enhanced productivity with a streamlined mill-sinter-glaze process

With Lava Esthetic zirconia discs, dental labs can experience a streamlined mill, sinter and glaze production process with consistent, predictable high-quality outcomes minus the guesswork. Using Lava Esthetic can save more than three hours (compared with liquid shaded zirconia materials) since there is no need for shading liquids or drying time.

Lava Esthetic gradient pre-shaded discs are now available in eight shades - Bleach, A1, A2, A3, A3.5, B1, C1 and D2. The material is available in a 98mm disc with step format in 14mm, 18mm and 22mm heights.
