Roland DG will demonstrate its "open system" dental milling solutions at IDS 2013, March 12-16 in Cologne, Germany.
The Roland DWX-50 is compatible with a variety of milling tools, CAD/CAM programs and a wide range of materials such as zirconia, PMMA and wax. Roland DG will be exhibiting solutions for dental labs at Stands L40 and M41 in Hall 3.1. The focus will be on the DWX-50 5-axis milling machine, designed specifically for milling dental prostheses. A compact and cost effective machine, the DWX-50 is easy to use, offers fully automatic calibration and automatic tool changing for unattended production. The five-axis simultaneous milling on the DWX-50 optimises production time for making traditional crowns and bridges and has additional capabilities to create abutments, complex dental arches and more. Being an open system means that the DWX-50 is compatible with various types of software, milling tools and materials. Zirconia, PMMA and wax are widely used, but the milling of newer types of materials such as composites and nano-ceramics is also possible. At IDS, Roland DG will be demonstrating the compatibility of its milling machine with these various materials and software programs.
