DENTSPLY's Compartis milling centre has upgraded to a new facility in Melbourne.
The state-of-the art milling centre sports purpose-built CAM equipment to provide fast, precision production and an average three-day turn around. Any open (unlocked) 3Shape scanner can connect to Compartis, along with all Cercon Eye scanners to gain exclusive access to commercially milled Cercon ht zirconia, not available through any other Australian commercial milling centre. "3Shape scanners are recognised as the premier technology for laboratory computer assisted design, so connecting these scanners to our milling centre made perfect sense," said Adam Muller, Marketing Manager for DENTSPLY Prosthetics. "We set out to create a production facility that matched the calibre and detail of 3Shape's Dental Designer CAD system and emerged with results that exceeded our expectations." Compartis specialises in high translucency zirconia. Cercon ht offers high aesthetics and 1200 mpa of flexural strength (data on file) and provides the perfect partner to lithium disilicate. Compartis is owned and operated by DENTSPLY and is available to labs in both Australia and NZ.
